Genevieve has been singing in a variety of styles for over 15 years. She began in The Voice Squad, a vocal ensemble based in Bury St Edmunds .They played throughout the country and appeared in the Queen Elizabeth and Albert Halls.
She then studied classical singing at The Royal Academy of Music for four years and sang solos at The Academy of St Martins in the Field London and St Patricks Cathedral in New York before deciding that she wanted to perform a broader repertoire.
Her completion of a jazz foundation course confirmed jazz as her chosen path, and now, at the age of 24 she is a 3rd year student at Middlesex University completing a three year Hons degree course in Jazz. Genevieve has recently formed a Quintet which is influenced amongst others by Ella Fitzgerald, Diana Krall and Sarah Vaughn. The quintet can be expanded or reduced depending on the nature of the event and she has experience in performing at jazz clubs, restaurants ,corporate functions, and celebrations such as weddings and anniversaries.
